The new generation Audi A4 and S4 range

Audi has updated the A4 series, creating a new generation Audi A4 to be released in 2012. The new models strength the factors that have made the Audi A4 a success up until now − such as design, sportiness and handling characteristics − but also putting emphasis firmly on the subject of efficiency.

The improvements have given the design of the Audi A4 an even more focused and balanced look than before. The same principle applies to all models − every Audi A4 retains its basic contours but the appearance is enhanced by well-measured improvements.

One thing was vital for the designers as they developed the new improved Audi A4 interior − the driver should be able to see and feel the enhanced quality of the interior on every journey. Therefore all the interior elements that the driver touches and operates particularly frequently have been upgraded in terms of look and feel.

The luggage compartment still has its 480-litre capacity – 962 litres with the rear seats folded down. The A4 Avant and A4 allroad quattro have 490 and 1,430 litres, respectively, with an optional electrically-operated tailgate available on both models.

The range of engines available for the Audi A4 models comprises highly efficient, turbocharged diesel and petrol engines with direct injection and torques of at least 230 Nm and efficiency technologies can be found in every vehicle.
